I don't know that Tom will let me call her The Boomer, but our 1989 Gulfstream El Capitan is now in our driveway. Yesterday, Tom picked me up and we drove down 95 to Wakefield to pick her up. We were about a half hour early, so we sat in a parking lot for a bit and watched the sunset over the plaza. At 4:45, we drove over, and went inside and closed the deal with Shawn and Sherry. Sherry has been sick, and they are going to Florida. She wrote up a bill of sale and then it was done. We got back 100 dollars because I overestimated the price, which is good because it showed that Shawn is a good guy. I was nervous about this whole transaction and still am, but as I drove home with Tom in the rearview mirror I was very excited about our future with this house on wheels. We then came home and watched "Lost in America", which I find to be a sad movie. Why can't they make their dream happen? I wonder if we will face similar problems (well, least of which is Vegas which neither of us have any interest in.)
What I learned yesterday: Bill W is not some guy I think I know from around town. I'm such a dope.
